The competition didn’t hold anything back for the Premier Bank Jr.

The Premier Bank Jr. at The Meadows started off a little cool, but got hotter as the day went on. Just like the weather, the junior golfers started to heat up and fired some low scores for the last tour event.

In the boys 16-17 division Will Coohey came out on top. Coohey shot a 74. “ I honestly got off to probably the worst start I had all year by making two doubles in the first four holes, but then the putter got hot and the birdies started to come after that.” Wil Sigwarth shot a 75 to finish second and Nick Splinter shot a 77 for third.

In the girls 16-17 division Maggie Heiar won with a 99. “ I had a lot of key chips and putts that allowed me to score well and achieve some of my goals.”

In the boys 14-15 division Jackson Webber shot a 75 for first place. “ I have a lot of confidence, which helps me win. When I come off a bad hole I just shake it off going on to the next hole and scramble around the greens to keep building up my confidence .” Bennett Dolter shot a 76 for second and Jaydon Nabb finished third with a 79.

Cece Ball won the girls 14-15 division. Ball shot an 84. “ My putting really helped me have a good round, but my best shot was probably on hole eighteen when I hit it five feet from the hole.” McKenna stackis came second with an 86 and Ava Kalb finished third with a 92.

In the boys 12-13 division Cal Martineau took the win with a 38. “ My mindset was if I could hit it straight and just hit greens, I knew I could make decent numbers and not have really high numbers to screw up the round.” Henry Gilbertson shot a 42 to finish in second place and Bryce Carroll shot a 44 for third.

The girls 12-13 division winner was determined by a sudden death playoff. Elin Mueller and Amber Wilson both shot a 47. Mueller won the playoff. “ I knew there was a lot of pressure on both of us, so I just tried to play my best, stay positive, and understand whatever happens, happens.” Natalie Fangmann shot a 51 for third place.

In the boys 10-11division Reid Herrig won with a 42. “ I hit my best shot on hole seven, when I hit my tee shot to 15 inches and then made the putt for birdie.” Henry Thier took second with a 44 and Cooper Smith finished third with a 49.

In the girls 10-11 division Addie Splinter took first place with a 47. “ I love the game of golf. I practice all the time and enjoy hanging out and playing with my friends.” Landry Rauen shot a 56 to finish second and Rylie Stackis took third with a 62.
